(This is literally my seventh time updating this page) wordpress kept crashing on me when I tried to put the non halftone page in. I tried and tried and then finally trashed the whole update. Then tried to start all over and it still didn’t work. Then I realized I was trying to upload a 300 dpi file. Oops.

Anyways, I decided against the halftone for the comic. Thanks for your feedback everyone, it helped. I do like the look of it though, so you will probably see it pop up in some various illustrations.

Halftone?

So I’ve been experimenting heavily with how I color and I also figured out a way to halftone the comic that looks pretty good. I’ve been wanting to try this look for a long time but hadn’t figured out how to make it look right. So I’m posting this version of the page up. I haven’t decided if I’m going to continue on in this style or stick with the regular version. I may end up posting the original later. What do you all think? Interested to hear your opinions.

I want to get new pages up as fast as you want to read them, trust me. In the mean time here is a smattering of various artwork I’ve done, some JR related and some a bit more Disney related. The last image is a master copy I did from “The Art of Princess and the Frog”.

As soon as I’m back to work on the comic I’ll do a ustream so you  can watch and chat while I finish the next page.

The cover came out a bit to dark and I’m making some fixes to a few interior pages as well. I’ve got a few redesigns in mind I will be working on, but besides that, the quality of the printing is top notch! I’m really excited to release this first issue. I’ll give you an update when I get a better idea. I would like to do some artist editions if anybody is interested in that.

(( In case you’re wondering, there is no update today. I got behind with the last page, so I’m just going to get back on schedule with Thursday’s update. I used to try and play catch up, but then I always end up behind every time. I would rather just skip a day and get back ahead of the game. Still trying to get my comic schedule adjusted around my crazy work schedule! ))

I decided to go ahead and post the pencils for today’s page. This is one of the few pages I’ve drawn and actually cracked myself up. Looking forward to drawing the rest of the pages in this scene =D

Really like how the expressions came out in this page. I had a lot of fun working on this on ustream and chatting with readers. I’ve been putting my ustream up on the site lately as well as posting a link to it in my twitter feed.
